Totem Aspects
The ten aspects of each totem are expressed below. From those, spells are constructed and performed through the standard casting mechanism.
Aspects
The ten aspects are as follows:
- Banishing: Expelling a spirit.
- Bolstering: Raising skills.
- Controlling: Controlling a spirit.
- Creation: Making an object.
- Destructive: Causing wounds.
- Healing: Restoring health.
- Protective: Shielding from wounds.
- Reduction: Lowering skills.
- Summoning: Bringing a spirit into existance.
- Transformation: Turning someone into something else.
Each aspect is divided into minor, moderate, significant, and grand levels of power that you can channel. The totem animal sets the limit. All aspects only affect one target at a time.
Banishing, Controlling, and Summoning all deal with spirits summoned via their domain. This will be covered later, but be aware that if you are in the desert, you only have access to land spirits, who will behave in their way compared to spirits of the street within the city.
Banishing
The expelling of a summoned spirit, which is tied to a domain. The animal determines how big of a spirit you can affect.
